Upgrading LNG tank safety instrumentation in France and India
Both Konkan LNG and Fos Cavaou draw on the expertise of Svanehøj's LNG safety specialists in Calais, France, to renew tank instrumentation at their LNG terminals.
At the Fos Cavaou LNG Terminal in France, we have already successfully retrofitted one tank with a new densitometer, replacing previous systems of another brand and improving functionality and reliability. Encouraged by this accomplishment, Fos Cavaou now plans to replace the densitometers in the remaining two tanks with delivery of instrumentation in October.
In India we are working with Konkan LNG to upgrade one-third of the tanks at the LNG terminal. The project encompasses replacing various components while retaining the existing temperature probes, guaranteeing qualitative safety measures. Here, we will install three servo-driven tank gauging systems, an LTD tank gauging system, and two data acquisition systems to optimize operational performance, collect and analyze data, thereby enabling informed decision-making.
Updated components are crucial in optimizing operational performance, collecting, and analyzing data, and enabling informed decision-making at liquefied gas terminals. In Svanehøj, we are proud to help improve safety at these terminals by bringing aged equipment up to date.
