A cleaner and healthier future:
Unlocking the full potential of LPG across Africa
Svanehøj recently engaged in dynamic discussions with the largest association for LPG in Africa, The African Refiners & Distributors Association (ARDA), about best practices for a cleaner and healthier energy infrastructure in Africa.
The discussions took place at the ARDA LPG Forum held at the Ivory Coast, where Quentin Lanoy (Sales Manager at Svanehøj Tank Control Systems), presented our hydraulic emergency shut-off valves, hydraulic control panels, and Whessoe mechanical gauges.
LPG aligns with ARDA’s vision for Africa’s energy transition. The dedicated LPG forum brought together key stakeholders in Africa’s LPG value chain to discuss critical areas of collaboration to increase LPG consumption as a cleaner alternative to traditional biomass fuels, which are commonly used for cooking across many parts of Africa, leading to indoor air pollution.
The forum covered best practices for providing robust and world-class LPG supply chains, ensuring the accessibility and affordability of LPG, and the role of LPG as a critical component in Africa’s energy transition.
At Svanehøj, we are ready to respond to the call to expand the LPG infrastructure in Africa, specifically storage, distribution networks, and processing facilities. We are dedicated to the safety of onshore storage of LPG with customizable solutions designed to meet all stringent safety regulations.
