Rasmus Blach Nielsen wins ‘Education Mentor of the Year’
By making continuing education more manageable, accessible, and aligned with individual goals, fitter Rasmus Blach Nielsen has helped foster a culture of personal growth and learning within Svanehøj.
At Svanehøj, we believe that empowering our employees through education is key to building a stronger, more resilient and attractive workplace. For this reason, we are proud to celebrate Rasmus Blach Nielsen, our internal Education Representative, for winning the ‘Education Mentor of the Year’-award.
The award is presented to a person who has helped colleagues, apprentices or trainees to succeed, for instance, by supporting professional development in the workplace. Nominees can be teachers, training counsellors, education representatives, mentors or training managers.
Rasmus, who has held the role as Svanehøj’s Education Representative for almost a year, was nominated by the Head of Production at Svanehøj, Mikkel Bülow Bundgaard Sørensen, and a union representative for his contributions to advancing continuing education among our blue-collar colleagues. The award was presented by A4 Medier in collaboration with the labor unions HK and Socialpædagogerne in the historic and stunning Circus Building in Copenhagen.
Breaking barriers to learning
Rasmus' results speak for themselves. In less than a year, he has secured around 6,500 hours of self-selected education for his colleagues. In fact, he has helped nearly 80 employees in production pursue upskilling in areas like CNC turning, TIG welding, and truck driving licenses. As a part of the ongoing work, Rasmus streamlines processes, from reimbursement to travel expenses, reducing administrative burdens and ensuring education is accessible to every employee at Svanehøj.
By making continuing education more manageable, accessible, and aligned with individual goals, Rasmus has helped foster a culture of personal growth and learning within Svanehøj.
Before implementing the role of Education Representative, many employees were unaware of the opportunities available. Now, continuing education is embedded in our workplace culture. Employees are gaining new tools to grow, develop, and create opportunities for themselves.
A mentor leading by example
Rasmus himself has participated in courses on project management and a mentorship program, enabling him to better guide his colleagues in advancing their careers, benefiting both the individuals and our organization.
Powering our people is an essential part of our ESG commitment. We create a responsible, inclusive, and attractive workplace by constantly striving to provide quality jobs and relevant career opportunities for all our employees.
Congratulations to Rasmus on this well-deserved recognition!
